Advisory Committee for Trade Policy and Negotiations (ACTPN)

The term 'Advisory Committee for Trade Policy and Negotiations (ACTPN) ' as it applies to the area of agriculture can be defined as ' A 45-member group appointed by the President to provide advice on matters of trade policy and related issues, including trade agreements. The 1974 Trade Act requires the ACTPN’s establishment and broad representation of key economic sectors affected by trade. Below ACTPN are seven policy committees, including the Agricultural Policy Advisory Committee (APAC). The Agriculture Policy Advisory Committee is made up of farm sector and industry representatives'.
